GateBreak is based on a zero-cost publishing principle for authors. It does not depend on external funders, sponsors, investors, paid editorial networks, institutional mandates, commercial publishers, advertising contracts, or third-party financial structures.
What No APC Means
No APC means that GateBreak does not charge Article Processing Charges. Authors do not pay to submit, be considered, receive basic editorial handling, or publish eligible content on the platform.
What GateBreak Does Not Charge
GateBreak does not charge submission fees, publication fees, review fees, editorial handling fees, formatting fees, archiving fees, social-sharing fees, priority fees, fast-track fees, or visibility fees.
Why GateBreak Does Not Apply APC
GateBreak does not apply APC because its purpose is to reduce economic barriers for authors and provide an independent online space for eligible secondary, conceptual, theoretical, educational, methodological, reflective, and non-interventional scholarly work.
No Pay-to-Publish Advantage
Since publication is free, there is no paid acceptance, paid priority, paid promotion, paid review, or paid editorial advantage. Publication decisions are based on scope, policy compliance, and basic editorial suitability.
